What is the Knifes Course
Meant to help you better understand the distinct differences in approach by knife attackers, and how to defend yourself against a knife attack. It also provide you with basic first aid information that is unique to penetrating knife, wounds or slashing wounds. Designed and built to build on ADVIRT training, it uses similar verbiage and themes to have a coherent message.
Why Add This to Your ADVIRT Training
Knives are more easily able to be concealed, and there are significantly fewer laws regarding carrying them or having them in your home or workplace. Many other countries in the world that have significantly stricter gun laws than the United States have a very high rate of knife violence. This additional add-on training is meant to help her pay you for the unique defensive strategies and medical aid related to knife attacks and some of the specific things you can look for when an attacker may be looking to target you or others.

Emergency Bleeding Control Techniques are important and potentially life-saving skills since one of the leading causes of preventable deaths in the U.S. is uncontrolled bleeding.

Emergency Bleeding Control techniques
Wound Packing and hands-on trauma care
Tourniquet Application using real-world tools
Equipping Your Space for faster response
Escape and Evade tactics during active violence
Defend and Attack strategies when escape is not possible
Live Scenario Exercises to build confidence and decision-making under pressure
CLASS DETAILS
**This is conducted after the after the AVIRT Training with the same basic requirements. This class is a shorter knifes focused add on to the AVIRT Training.

Appropriate Ages: Age-12+ (same as AVIRT)
Physical Requirements: Training is provided to each person’s ability.
Requirements for Onsite Class:
Group Class space must have desk/table for every person in the class.
A screen, Projector, or TV with HDMI ports to plug presentation materals
Bathrooms
(signage will be posted outside the classroom to alert others that the sound of simulated gunfire, simulated weapons use maybe heard or in view).
Time to Complete: 45 Minutes
Class Sizes: Must have at least 4 people for a group class and no more than 15 people (if more, we can add more instructors or make a second class session) . Individual people for the class will have a location marked upon booking. (same as ADVIRT
